It took place at Bar Le Ritz PDB in Montreal as part of Passovah Summer Fest , and he was accompanied byArcade Fire drummer Jeremy Gara and Basia Bulat . Footage has surfaced from the setwatch it below. Kingsbury has a Sam Patch album in the works. Speaking with Cult Montreal , Kingsbury explained that he wrote songs at hotels during Arcade Fire’s last tour. He started recording when the tour ended and he’s still working on finishing the album. In addition to Gara and Bulat, John McEntire (Tortoise, the Sea and Cake) also plays on the album. Describing the sound of the album to Cult Montreal, he said: Its evolved a bit, but the feel of it is definitely rock music I guess weird rock music. This doesnt sound very rock n roll but I started using a nylon-string guitar and this old Vox keyboard and a Moog synthesizer and I was using an arpeggiator with it, and a little drum machine as well. I was playing around between those things and composing ideas, often based on an arpeggio.
